Glaucoma and signs of vision loss
Depending on the degree of optic nerve involvement, the glaucoma patient may:
frequently bump into objects that do not appear in his or her field of vision (such as a door frame)
suffer falls (glaucoma multiplies by 4 the possibility of suffering this type of accidents)
noticing a permanent haze
suffering from glare and/or worse vision in dark places, as well as photophobia
needing a lot of light for near-vision activities (e.g., reading)
mobility or orientation problems
