How can Glaucoma be prevented?
The key to preventing the irreversible damage that glaucoma produces in the optic nerve is the early diagnosis of the disease to be able to control it before it continues to evolve. Since in most cases it does not cause symptoms until advanced stages of the pathology, it is recommended to undergo ophthalmological examinations every two years from the age of 40, the age at which the degenerative process of the eye is activated and the incidence of the disease begins to increase.
